Mushy feelings and wild fantasies tickle my heart, I like you until I can't stand those feelings again, My commitment won't ever let me win, We speak a language of lustfulness, That it reduces to shame, And every time I try so hard never to think of you, The careless thoughts bombard me again, I know it isn't love, The signs are clear to see, But there you go, With sweetness. Tenderness. Gentleness, And you make my heart butter all over again. Annette Kinglock-Murray © 2023 All Rights Reserved
