7 types of people to let go of

7 types of people to let go of in 2022.

"Sometimes, you have to remove people without warning. We are getting too old to be explaining what they already know they are doing wrong." — Farrah Gray

Everyone who enters our life is either a blessing or a lesson. Some people are not good for our health. They're just too costly for our well-being.  Many of us have been serving life sentences in relationships that have been draining us for years. It's high time to part ways with toxic people. Save what's left of yourself. Life is too short to continue living like this. You know that you deserve much better. It's time to start living as if you do. Here are seven types of people to let go of. You may not be able to immediately remove these persons from your environment, but you can try to limit your interactions with them as much as possible.

Types of people who'll ruin your life!

1. Controlling people who take you for a fool.

You deserve to know the truth. Stop taking the run-around from people. Stop making them think that they can always come to you with their nonsense because you'll believe anything that they tell you, and leave it at that.

“People may not always tell you how they feel about you, but they will always show you. Pay attention.” — Keri Hilson

2. People who constantly embarrass you in public.

No one has the right to embarrass you in public. Stop allowing people to feel as if it's okay to shout in your face, dish out their insults, or drag you down in public.

Never make excuses for someone who disrespects you; who they are or what they do isn’t a pass to treat you like trash! – Trent Shelton

3. People who think that you're not deserving of anything good.

Some people take pleasure in giving the things that they wouldn't want for themselves to others. Stop allowing people to deposit their waste in your life. Anything that isn't good enough for them, isn't good enough for you either. You deserve the best of anything that they're offering you. Stop accepting junk from people. Your life isn't a dumpster for other people's crap! It's your responsibility to let others know that you deserve only the best. Stop accepting the worst from people.

"I no longer have the energy for meaningless friendships, forced interactions, or unnecessary conversations.” — Joquesse Eugenia

4. People who consistently talk you down.

Anyone who takes pleasure in belittling you shouldn't have a place in your life. They will kill your dreams and aspirations. They will relinquish every ounce of confidence that you have within you. They will annihilate your belief system. Don't convince yourself that you can just ignore these people. If they're consistently feeding your thought process with their toxicity, it will eventually consume you.

“Sometimes your dearest friend whom you reveal most of your secrets to becomes so deadly and unfriendly without knowing that they were not your friend.” ― Michael Bassey Johnson

5. People who downgrade your emotional health.

We all have our low blows in life. There are times when we're just falling apart. It's okay to allow yourself to feel all your emotions. Your feelings matter! It's not humanly possible to be happy all the time. The world is too messed up for that! Stop allowing people to treat your emotions as though they're nothing. Stop allowing people to make you feel as if what you're going through isn't important, and you're only doing it out of self-pity for attention. You don't need anyone who'll constantly call you weak if you decide to let some tears flow. You're only human. Even the strongest amongst us get tired of being strong sometimes.

“Your emotions make you human. Even the unpleasant ones have a purpose. Don't lock them away. If you ignore them, they just get louder and angrier.”
― Sabaa Tahir

6. People who want nothing to do with you.

Give people the space that they need. Many times we hold on to people who have made it obvious that they want to part ways with us. Stop trying to keep people who don't want to be kept. Set them free.

"Growing up means realizing a lot of your friends aren't your friends." — Unknown

7. People who care zero about you.

It isn't hard to tell when someone doesn't care. Oftentimes their actions are loud and clear. Anyone who truly cares about someone will make every effort to show that person that they do. Many of us are guilty of devoting all our energy to people who couldn't care less about us. We make it our responsibility to ensure that they're always doing okay, but they've never done the same for us.

"I didn't lose a friend, I just realized I never had one." — Unknown

It's time to start doing all those things that you have been doing for others for yourself. Stop burning yourself to keep others warm. Start prioritizing your self-care. Reward yourself with the good stuff that you have been doing for people all these years. You only have one life, and no one will ever care for you the way you do. It's time to evict toxic people from your life.

"I would rather be alone than with people who don’t care." — Steve Price

“Like arsenic, toxic people will slowly kill you. They kill your positive spirit and play with your mind and emotions. The only cure is to let them go.” — Denisse Lisseth

“Letting go of toxic people in your life is a big step in loving yourself.” — Hussein Nishah
